Bar Alto is a pop up bar inspired by one of the heros of Milan’s bar, the Negroni, and give hommage to the Bar Basso, the meeting point of so many designers during the famous Salone del Mobile.
Bar Alto Mons is both an exhibition and a bar exploring Milanese creativity and design through the work of Stephania Vasques Studio, Niccolo Mazzoni, DWA, Paolo dell’Elce and Julie Richoz, who are now joining the growing DesignMarketo family!
Have a drink at the bar, wonder around the exhibition or read about the designers presented here. We like our design exhibitions to provide fun: visitors to be able to touch and feel the objects presented, to learn about the work of other designers: to feel immerged in a new design environment.
We also commissioned our friend Julien Renault to organise a workshop with the local Applied Art School (Ecole des Arts & Metiers du Hainault). The resulted glass where exhibited (and used) together at the Bar Alto Mons.
The concept of the Bar Alto Mons was developped and realised in collaboration with the super talented Bahbak Hashemi-Nezhad, who developed a simple concept of using the bar as an exhibition space by transforming it into a light box, the cocktails being served directly into the exhibited glasses. Simple and effective!

Bar Alto proceedings from the limited edition collection being sold will help to support the local organisation “ESPOIR”. This organisation provides women in needs with hosting, assistance and help. It provides also cultural and sport activities to their accompanying children.
